What makes a computer mouse perfect?
There can be many different things to look at when you’re picking a new mouse. Through all of our conversations and articles we’ve read, it essentially comes down to these three factors:
Ergonomics
A mouse that has an ergonomic design is built with the user in mind. While for years we were all stuck using the standard computer mouse, using it never really did any good for our joints by putting stress on our tendons and forced wrist pronation. Our wrists weren’t made to twist that way and ergonomic mics are designed to keep our wrist in their natural position.
Reliability
Regardless of which type of mouse you’re using, wireless or wired, having reliable one is important. A wired mouse is a more reliable option because they connect directly to your computer and might not have issues like interference or dead batteries like a wireless mouse might. While a wireless mouse is more convenient, make sure to choose one with good battery life and one that connects via Bluetooth to avoid issues.
Responsiveness
If you’ve ever owned a mouse where the cursor doesn’t move as quickly as your hand does, you’ve experienced lag and lag is not something that creatives should deal with to get their work done. A mouse’s DPI or dots per inch measures the responsiveness between the user’s movement and the movement of the cursor. A high DPI such as 3,000 DPI means that you could tap the mouse and the cursor could across the screen with ease.
