My Legacy

I recently went to TEDxSydney, one of the largest TEDx events in the world.

The theme for the event was LEGACY and the highlight reels of these 20+ highly accomplished individuals, really got me thinking.

What’s my purpose?

Is this what they call a mid-life crisis? Should I be buying that red convertible sports car?

Half joking, I ask myself, how can I serve more people? How can I make the most positive impact?

I wondered, why am I thinking all of this now?

I came to the conclusion, that I’ve reached a point in my life where I consider myself “successful”.

But this word means nothing. Nothing to anyone, except yourself.

Success is defined by the individual.

I’m happy. I’ve helped millions with my blog. I have a loving family. I have a job I love. I help businesses thrive all across the world with my design & strategy work. I have minor “fame”. I’ve traveled the world. I have freedom.

But I’m comfortable. And comfort is the enemy of achievement.

I want more. We all want more – it’s in our blood as humans to continually grow.

So, where to from here? I’m still looking for the answer.

I can’t keep branding and blogging for the rest of my life, can I?

Whatever is next, it has to be different and it has to help people. It needs to have impact.

I am not even sure why I am writing this… or why I am sharing it with you. But I know I just had to get it out there.

What’s my legacy?

Who can relate? I would love to hear from you.
